Apekatten, "Silly-rat" Kissimmee's Aapje, russian blue eubk dumbo rex Pedigree no: KIS-DU-2A01 Birth date: 26.05.2004 Breeder: Mariska Hoogesteger, Rattery Kissimmee Pedigree   Aapje was imported from Holland in August 2004. He looks just like a little monkey, reminding me of Herr Nilsson in Pippi Langstrømpe, hence his name. He is very cuddly and calm, loves to play with Mopp and Kerrie, and never fight for position. He loves people, and goes all limp when you pick him up, like a ragdoll. He is always bouncing all over the place when he's "let loose" to run :) Unfortunately he's got a persistent respiratory infection, so he will not be used for breeding. Aapje had a large lump removed from his right side in January 2006. It turned out to be a cancerous growth, but he recovered quickly from the surgery and was back to his happy self. Another lump appeared on Aapjes left side in May 2006, and it grew quickly. Since he still had problems with respiratory infections I decided it was time to let him go.
